Dental crowns are meant to restore your teeth and give you the strong, healthy, functional, and beautiful smile you deserve. However, that’s only the case if you take good care of it. Fortunately, caring for your crown is just like caring for your natural teeth. To elaborate a little more, Dr. Danton Bradshaw and our dental team have some caring tips for you.

First, you need to brush your crown twice a day, floss it once a day, and rinse it daily, just like your natural teeth. As you do so, make sure to use hygiene tools that have been approved by the American Dental Association.

Second, visit Dr. Danton Bradshaw twice a year for a routine checkup. During your visit, our dental team will examine your dental crown, deeply clean it, and make sure it’s in great shape. This will also give you a chance to ask questions or mention any concerns.

Third, be careful when you chew with the crown when it’s first placed over your tooth. Once a few days have passed following treatment, you can use the crown as much as you would like. It’s also recommended to avoid chewing sticky foods with the crown because the suction could pull the crown loose.
